We get to go see

We get to go see MacBeth next week! I'm excited. (You can tell by the exclamation point). If I'm not mistaken, Dr. Bob is going to play the title role. (Yep) Which should be interesting, given his accent. As a child, he had a very, very southern accent, as you know if you've ever seen any of the old Unusual Films movies. Now, it's just kind of weird. Listen (Real Player format) If that link doesn't work, just go here and pick a message by Bob Jones III. Especially listen for words like "huge." He says it "hyooj," emphasizing the vowel sound.

It's a role that he has played before, and quite well. His wife, Benneth, plays Lady MacBeth, IIRC. And BJU plays, especially Shakespeare plays, are renown for being really well done.

Attendance for students is compulsory. But few people complain (about the plays; the semesterly opera and instrumental concert are another matter; they aren't as good, IMHO), as they offer an excellent dating opportunity.

But, I'm not dating anyone this time around; instead I will be going with a group of my friends (both female and male) from my church. I think that's likely to be more fun; it's certainly less trouble and stress.

Besides, I think it might not be a great idea to take someone on the first date to a tragedy. That's some kind of omen, isn't it?
