Once again, sorrow flows from

Once again, sorrow flows from my heart for my infrequent posting. We had a church missions conference last week, so Monday-Wednesday evenings were taken by church, thursday was taken by homework, and friday was my crash day: TV, reading Honor Among Enemies by David Weber, etc. Today I found Cheddar X through Pyrojection Here's my responses to this week's questions:

1. What good did you do in the world today?
I contributed to the economy by providing valuable services to a local quick-service dining establishment. (Translation: I worked at Chick-fil-A)
2. What fashion trend are you glad that's gone away? Or what trend are you waiting to go away?
Glad to see gone: How about this? As far as waiting to go away: The exposed mid-riff. First off, half the women who try it are too fat for it anyway, and second, it's just disgusting. In fact, any fashion trend started by Brittany Spears deserves to die an unspeakable death.
3. What's your greatest sports moment, your own or one you've witnessed?
The greatest sports moment I've ever seen was my senior year of high school. My high school boys team was playing some other Christian high school, and the score was extremely close; we were something like two points behind. The clock is running, and BRRRRRRR the buzzer goes off, and we apparently lose. But wait! Our coach had called a time out two or three seconds before the timer went off; the clock is set to ~three seconds and the time-out is held. The teams reposition themselves on the court. The timer begins. The man with the ball passes it to Josh, a junior, who throws a wild three point shot at the buzzer--and makes it! The crowd goes wild.
4. Who would you nominate for the most annoying person award?
So many possibilities: The cast of IndyMedia, Michael Moore, war protesters, Brittany Spears/Madonna/Aguilara/any other rock'n'roll slut, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, etc.
5. What do you do to get yourself ready to write? Either blogging or other writing? (I.e. I'm a whiskey drinker and like to have a tumbler to sip from when I write fiction).
I usually have a glass of Dr. Pepper nearby; generally, I surf the net and write about whatever I find. I ought to find some habit to get ready to write; maybe then, I'd do it more often.
6. Mac or PC or Linux? Why? (I'm curious about this because it seems like the majority of bloggers I know are Mac folks but maybe I'm just wishfully thinking).
PC. I like computers that run most software. And I like mice that have multiple buttons; that's the one reason I'd never, ever own a Mac: One button? Are you kidding me? As far as linux goes, I want a computer that works when I turn it on, little/no tweaking required.

Anyway, maybe I'll do this regularly. Right now, I need to go to bed, or I'll end up sleeping through church. G'Night.
