I can’t imagine why The Biblical Role of Women would be open only to women. Are they saying that men have no need to understand these critical issues?! I guess its only evangelical feminists which misinterpret.

My picture of an accountant’s firm is a cubicle farm full of guys in white shirts going through page after page and pile after pile of paperwork. But I imagine that’s probably an inaccurate picture.

1. I haven’t worn a white shirt in 10 years.
2. I haven’t worn a tie in 5.
3. “Page after page and pile after pile” describes Forensic Accounting which sounds interesting but is deadly dull.
4. While there isn’t huge mega-bucks in accounting, there are very good bucks.
5. Stay as far away from what remains of the Big 8, 6, 4 as you can.
6. Over the 20 years I’ve been in the biz, the job market has never been bad.
7. Accounting, like art, music, archtecture, painting, scuplture or literature is about big structures. My job is building big structures for international organizations. Nothing I know of is more exciting and more immediate and it pays real well too.

Bi 430 - Foundations For Biblical Lifestyle
This class discusses issues of godly Christian living to prepare senior students to assume their adult responsibilities in the Christian home, the church, and the community.
Both semesters, two hours.

The course textbook is entitled Does God Believe in Atheists, which I am sure will treat Atheism with all the fairness and unbiasedness that BJU’s religion courses are famous for.

I picked it fit nicely in the schedule, and because they wouldn’t let me into the Biblical Role of Women:

A study of the biblical passages that reveal God’s role for women in the home, the church, and society in general, along with explanation of how evangelical feminists either disregard or misinterpret these passages in order to support their feminist agenda. Open only to women.

Well, at least they’re upfront about their biases.

I still thinking Accounting is a great Minor - you can always fall back on it whether its doing taxes, write-up work, temporary assignments etc. It can pay a lot of bills while you’re trying to break into to something else.

Just my opinion - but I’m prejudice - I think its the best profession there is.

Yes, BJU blocks sites like Blogger and TypePad, but they also block sites like GeoCities. They’re concerned more what others publish rather than their students, I think.

Business Law is a big part of the CPA exam - which I would recommend you take. I think its too important to take via correspondence.

There’s a new section in the handbook about blogging which you should probably read. Basically, just behave yourselves out there.

And isn’t BJU still blocking all the major blog hosts? Maybe the school’s effort to regulate blogs will lead to its dropping the block.
