New Plugin: Jerome’s Tags
This afternoon I installed the Jerome’s Keywords Plugin into WordPress. It lets me tag posts with keywords, in much the same way that you can tag bookmarks with del.icio.us.
I’ll probably say more about it tonight after church.

What do you see as the difference between keywords and WordPress categories?

The biggest advantage is how easy it is to create new keywords. If I want to create a new category, I have to navigate away from the post, go to Manage, select categories, click “Add New”, type in the new category, and submit it. I’ve got to wait for all the pages to load, and, if I’m not careful, I might lose the original post I was writing.
When I want to create a new keyword, I type it in the keyword box and hit “post.” It’s a lot faster, and it’s more flexible, IMO.
