I'm back! And 35 other things!

You may have noticed that I've been posting even less often than usual for the past couple of days. That's because my brother Jason, whose been working at a camp in California this summer, returned home for a couple of days. This morning he left for his mission trip to Cameroon. Busy boy.

Anyways, to make up for it, in the extended entry is a series of fun-filled questions about me. Because I know you care. You can blame Bryan from Spare Change for the list.

1. WHAT COLOR ARE YOUR BEDROOM WALLS? I've got wood paneling. It's very nature-esque.


2. WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING NOW? I'm not reading a book right now, I'm answering a list of questions. But I'm also reading The Gifts of the Jews: How a Tribe of Desert Nomads Changed the Way Everyone Thinks and Feels., on Hugh Hewitt's recommendation in his book In, But Not Of: A Guide to Christian Ambition.


3. WHAT'S ON YOUR MOUSE PAD? Rush Limbaugh. I'd still use my "holographic" Star Trek one, but the optical mouse doesn't play well with it.


4. FAVORITE BOARD GAME? Settlers of Catan is pretty good.


5. FAVORITE MAGAZINE? I don't read a lot of magazines... Reader's Digest has a lot of good funny stuff in it.


6. FAVORITE SMELL? Um, OK. I like the smell of freshly-baked bread. That's really good.


7. FAVORITE COLOR? Black, as well as really dark blues and greens, but not really dark blue-green.


8. LEAST FAVORITE COLOR? Pastels. Oranges, pinks, peach. Bleh.


9. HOW MANY RINGS BEFORE YOUR ANSWERING MACHINE PICKS UP? Four.


10. MOST IMPORTANT MATERIAL THING IN MY LIFE? Either my Clie or my laptop. Don't know how I'd live without them.


11. FAVORITE FLAVOR OF ICE CREAM? I like Chick-fil-A's vanilla ice cream. It's delicious!


12. DO YOU BREAK THE SPEED LIMIT DAILY? Oh yeah, especially on the way to school. If you're not going 70 on I-85, you'll get run over.


13. DO YOU HAVE A STUFFED ANIMAL IN YOUR ROOM SOMEWHERE? Yep. I've got a stuffed leopard I got from a Denny's crane game.


14. STORMS - COOL OR SCARY? Cool, as long as I'm inside.


15. FAVORITE DRINK? Dr. Pepper and/or Sprite, and, to a lesser degree, Iced Tea. Sweetened iced tea.


16. WHEN IS YOUR BIRTHDAY? August 15th. Send me presents!


17. FAVORITE VEGETABLES? I like corn and potatos, although I've got a friend who will argue that corn isn't really a vegetable. It's a grain. If you meant a "real" vegetable, I like lettuce.


18. IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY JOB, WHAT WOULD IT BE? Oh goodness, stop asking that already! I don't know! ::waa:: I'm still trying to figure out what I want. Something in business, probably.


19. IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY COLOR HAIR, WHAT WOULD IT BE? Either dark brown, as it is, or black.

20. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN LOVE? No.


21. TOP THREE FAVORITE MOVIES (IN ORDER)? Another one of these questions that shows up on every list of questions, and one that I'm not good at answering. I like lots of movies. Anything made by Pixar is pure gold. I liked the Patriot. That's a good movie. Quite a bit more violent than I like, but wars are like that.


22. DO YOU TYPE WITH YOUR FINGERS ON THE RIGHT KEYS? No. I've developed my own, completely wrong way to type.


23. WHAT'S UNDER YOUR BED? A thick layer of dust and a box full of wrapping paper.


24. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE NUMBER? 42. See also: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.


25. FAVORITE SPORT TO WATCH ON TV & IN PERSON? Sports are like a weird false religion. I *hate* to watch them on TV, and will only watch in person if I'm really bored or if I know the people playing. Although I did get to see part of an Atlanta Braves game a couple of days ago while we were waiting for Jason's flight to get in. That's some wierd stuff. You see them doing their ritual chop thing. Strange.


26. WHAT IS YOUR SINGLE BIGGEST FEAR? Alzheimer's disease or some other mental illness. ::shudder::


27. FAVORITE CD OF ALL TIME & RIGHT NOW? I hate it when people ask my favorite anything. There's too much good stuff to choose from. I like anything made by the Steve Pettit Evangelistic Team. I like Irish music. I like a lot.


28. FAVORITE TV SHOW OF ALL TIME & RIGHT NOW? I love Fraiser. Funniest show ever. I also like America's Funniest Home Videos.


29. HAMBURGERS OR HOT DOGS? Cheesburger. Ideally from Wendy's.


30. THE COOLEST PLACES YOU'VE EVER BEEN? I loved NYC. I want to go back.


31. WHAT WALLPAPER AND/OR SCREENSAVER IS ON YOUR COMPUTER RIGHT NOW? Right now, a picture of a moon-lit island with a palm tree on it. Usually it's someting more techonologically oriented, but this is pretty cool. I've got a huge collection of background images too. Current count: 632 images.


32. DOES MCDONALD'S SKIMP ON YOUR FRIES & DO YOU CARE? Not really, and I don't really care. Now if Wendy's started skimping on fries...


33. FAVORITE CHAIN RESTAURANT(s)? Wendy's. You didn't notice? But I like a wide variety of restaurants, such as KFC, Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, Golden Corral, Outback, etc.


34. IF YOU HAVE A BOY (OR HAVE ANOTHER BOY) WHAT WOULD YOU NAME HIM? ::shrug:: I dunno. Jonathan? Daniel? Yeah, really original, I know.


35. IF YOU COULD LEARN TO PLAY ONE INSTRUMENT OVERNIGHT, WHAT WOULD IT BE? The guitar.
